Tidal Flow
High tide or low tide is not as important, as a changing tide.
The peak of the high or low tide is not as ideal.
The main reason is that when walking through the water, sand is kicked up and impacts visibility.
No flow means the kicked up sand lays in the same area, creating a trail that lingers behind.

With a flowing tide, the sand quickly disappears.
This can be avoided by not tracing your steps back, but it tends to form a cloud.
High tide
Fishing around the high tide will bring more water into shallow areas, which bring fish in.
Some places are better accessed through high tide, but low tide might mean you need to walk further out.

Moon
The full moon has led to some great fishing at night.
The new moon has also led to some productive fishing.
Keep an eye on tidal flow, as spring and neap tides cause increases or decreases in tidal flow, which can turn up fish activity or slow them down.

Generally, less moon in the sky can help with attracting things to your lights.
There have been times when the moon’s out and so are the fish.
If the other conditions are good, best option is give it a crack.
