Canopy Water Tanks + Plumbing
If you’re as precious as me, water storage in the canopy is massive.
Showers on the road, rinsing wet dogs after day trips or even getting salt of diving gear.
Water tanks in the canopy setup are a no brainer.
Water tanks
The water tanks are 43L each and were purchased from Outback Equipment.
They are connected to empty and refill simultaneously.
The breather at the top of the tank allows for expansion and contraction of the tanks.

Plumbing
The inlet/outlet hose is situated at the bottom for easy emptying.
As the inlet/outlet hoses reach the front of the tub, it splits into the designated inlet and outlet hose.
The inlet/filler hose has the tap fitting, with the one-way valve shut.
The outlet hose attaches to the 12V water pump.
The clear tube that runs with the inlet is the breather hose.
This system allows filling and emptying without unplugging any fittings from the pump.
Monitoring water consumption is through an in-line tap, giving live usage updates.
The water tanks utilise the dead space at the back of the tub, raising the floor.
This makes the area easier to reach in and utilise.
